Formerly Matthews Point Marina, operated by the Matthews family since the 1950’s, this idyllic marina has been, and will continue to be, a family run business. 

Now known as Bishop’s Marina & RV Park, our destination will still have the same relaxed environment and high level of care, in one of the most scenic and accessible areas of the Neuse River.

Captain Christopher Bishop and wife Sharon Bishop purchased the property in February 2022 to fulfill their lifelong dream of a job doing what they love, being avid boaters and having worked in hospitality, plus enjoying the camaraderie of fellow mariners.

Ocean travels have taken them many times to Islands of The Bahamas, cruising Florida coasts and Keys, up the ICWW on the Eastern Seaboard, and exploring the majestic sounds of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Stop by the Clubhouse to see maps and photos of their adventures on the bar, and to hear a story or two.
